I started this thread to make it easy for people to post articles which may be relevant to our group discussions.

The first article I'd like to post is about the burning of a refugee camp in DR Congo. It also has a short video link.

Alex de Waal, widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on the conflict in Darfur, makes an interesting argument against the prosecution of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir by Luis Moreno Ocampo of the International Criminal Court.

The Op-Ed piece illustrates tension within the international community regarding the question of how to weigh continued humanitarian access against the goal of prosecuting Bashir for his use of starvation as a weapon of ethnic cleansing against the people of Darfur.
